The D is the Downtown Place to Be. Stayed here for a solo portion of a guys trip. Arrived late but my reservation for a corner king room was honored.

Check in was fast and friendly. The room was exactly as advertised and was large and comfortable. Excellent WiFI connection allowed me to work without any issues.

A warning, even on a high floor, the music from the Fremont Street Experience is noticeable. If you are going to bed early, request a room on the other side of the hotel.

Other than that the room was quiet and you could not hear noise from other guests. Room was equipped with a safe and a fridge for convenience.

Bathroom was clean and nicely appointed. The location of the hotel is unbeatable. You can walk right out onto Fremont street and be in the center of the action.

You have 10 other casinos within a five minute walk so if you like to hop around and check out the action at other places its really easy.

Also the downtown area is improving as an arts and entertainment area with a lot of neat shops and restaurants nearby. Gambling at the D is also a blast.

The casino is small but is spread out over two levels and offers every table game and slot imaginable. Upstairs there is a retro gaming area with old slots and a mechanical horse race game which is addictive.

The long bar at the casino is also a great place to get a drink. The coffee shop here is good with a great service staff. Overall I am glad I chose the D.

It is not the Ritz but that is ok. Its a fun place with clean rooms and friendly staff. Date of stay: December Jamie M wrote a review Jul Over Rated.

Not impressed. I booked the D based on reviews and was sorely disappointed. I don't know if the people that give this hotel a high rating have never stayed at another hotel or if they just totally experienced something I wasn't able to.

Everyone seemed quite annoyed to even have a job. From the Valet to the card dealers to the waitressess No one could care less we were there.

The only time we were spoken to was if we had forgotten to pull our masks back up after taking a drink. Now I'm not saying that the D doesn't have the amazing staff that everybody boasts about, but they were not working the three days we were visiting.

No one seemed happy to be there. And of course we were warned about the loud music from Fremont Street. But you know, I thought a couple of earplugs and a couple of cocktails along with being on the 28th floor would be enough to cover any noise infiltration I had the worst 3 nights of non-sleep, ever.

But hey, like I said, I knew the nose would be bad, I mistakenly thought I could overcome it. My bad. I will not book this hotel again.

There is no attraction for me. I think I overpaid considering what I got, I found the rooms to be nothing like they were advertised, the casino stuffy and over crowded and I found the staff to be robotic and cold.

I love Fremont Street itself, but I will make a different decision with the hotel next time. Date of stay: July Trip type: Traveled as a couple.
